Green tea shortbread cookies: signature bake!
Ingredients
- 100g room temperature premium european fermented butter
- 30g sugar
- 11g egg yolk (1)
- 143g cake flour
- 5g ground green tea (breaking up the tea leaves yourself is the best!)
- pinch of salt
Steps
- Mix room temperature butter, sugar, and yolk
- sift in cake flour and ground green tea
- forming the dough into a cylinder, wrap it in plastic wraps, put into the freezer for 2hr
- cut into coin sized cookies and bake in 175C (350F) for 20min, enjoy the crumbleness!
notes
- replace the green tea with 10g black sesame, 10g nuts, and 10g chocolate chips for a more exotic twist!
