Green tea shortbread cookies: signature bake!

Ingredients

  • 100g room temperature premium european fermented butter
  • 30g sugar
  • 11g egg yolk (1)
  • 143g cake flour
  • 5g ground green tea (breaking up the tea leaves yourself is the best!)
  • pinch of salt

Steps

  1. Mix room temperature butter, sugar, and yolk
  2. sift in cake flour and ground green tea
  3. forming the dough into a cylinder, wrap it in plastic wraps, put into the freezer for 2hr
  4. cut into coin sized cookies and bake in 175C (350F) for 20min, enjoy the crumbleness!

notes

  1. replace the green tea with 10g black sesame, 10g nuts, and 10g chocolate chips for a more exotic twist!
